The Skinny: This was the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had. It also might be one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in Denver, period. The hallmark of a Cuban sandwich is the combination of pickles, pork, and swiss, and where many places go wrong with it is the imbalance of the portions, making the taste overpowering in one area, generally the pickles. In this case, all of the ingredients are balanced with care and gel together perfectly in every bite. Among the ingredients, the pork was clearly the star, being every bit as moist and delicious as you’ll find at any prideful bbq joint.

This was a good Cuban sandwich, probably the best you can get in Denver. Buchi Cafe has gotten better and better since I first went there right after they opened. Keep getting better Buchi! Still not as good as the Cuban places in LA (I used to live in SD and would drive up to Versailles for amazing Cuban food). I still long for more little hole-in-the-wall Cuban/Latin places like this.
